Halfway between Llandudno and Caernarfon along the coastal strip of North Wales, wedged between the mountains and the sea, lies the seaside village of ‘Carreg Tref.’

Arwen Edwards has lived there all her life, shovelling chips into a fryer by day and arm-wrestling beer pumps by night.  She finds a release from life’s routine by her clandestine pursuit of high-risk stunts, usually involving balancing acts on expressway bridges or leaps of faith between town centre rooftops.

Vronny Charnwood is an English artist specialising in automata who has found somewhere low rent in ‘Carreg Tref’ which she can use as a live-in studio.

Together, they forge an unlikely friendship which sees them embark on a series of misadventures set amidst the area’s economic and wartime heritage, featuring encounters with local wildlife, railways, castles, harbours, art galleries, hotels, pubs and chip shops.

Vronny and Arwen live in a magical environment where opportunities are scarce if you struggle to get by on limited means.  But it never stopped Vronny striving to make something happen with her art nor Arwen finding outlets for her restless energy in unexpected ways.
